Who we are

kwokmeme.fun is a personal creative project, not a company. We are a small group running a website about internet culture. We do not have a legal entity, a registered business address, or a data protection officer. We have a manifesto and three games.

What information we collect

We do not collect personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any identifying details. There is no account system on this site.

Game scores are stored in your browser's localStorage under keys beginning with kw_hs_. This data is never transmitted to any server. It stays on your device until you clear it.

Hosting and server logs

kwokmeme.fun is hosted on Vercel. When you visit this site, Vercel's infrastructure receives a standard HTTP request that includes your IP address, browser user agent, referrer URL, and the page you accessed. Vercel may retain this information for operational purposes according to their own policies.

We do not access or process these logs. We do not run analytics on them. We do not have a dashboard showing us who visited.

Third-party content

The site loads an Orynth badge from orynth.dev. When your browser fetches that image, orynth.dev receives a request. We do not control what they log.

If you share a game score on X (formerly Twitter), you are taken to X's own interface to post a tweet. At that point you are subject to X's privacy policy, not ours.

We do not embed YouTube videos, load Google Fonts, use Facebook SDKs, or import any other external resources that would give third parties visibility into your visit.

No advertising, no data sales

We do not run ads. We do not sell data. We do not participate in data broker networks. We do not have a business model that depends on knowing anything about you.

This project is funded by the people making it because we think it is worth making. That is the whole financial model.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, most formal data rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply in the traditional sense. There is nothing we hold about you to access or delete.

The only data we have any proximity to is what Vercel logs as your hosting provider. For those records, contact Vercel directly.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this site. If you believe a child under 13 has somehow submitted personal information through this site, contact us and we will investigate, though we are genuinely uncertain how that would have happened.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if we materially change how the site handles data. The date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

The plain-language version: if we ever start doing something that feels invasive, we will tell you before we do it. We are not interested in that kind of business.
